Math
-Algebra unit test tomorrow!
-Complete the word problems (see below) and expressions questions (from the white board) we did in class today
-For the problems below only make the equation, no need to solve


After paying 7 dollars for a pie, Sandy has 96 dollars left.
How much money did she have before buying the pie ?

How many packs of DVD's can you buy with 270 dollars if one pack costs 18 dollars ?

Mike received 64 dollars for his birthday. He went to a sporting goods store and bought a baseball glove, baseball, and bat. He had 43 dollars left over, how much did he spent on the baseball gear ?

Benny found 62 seashells on the beach, he gave Tom some of his seashells. He has 17 seashell left. How many seashells did he give to Tom ?

Benny had 40 peaches left at his roadside fruit stand. He went to the orchard and picked more peaches to stock up the stand. There are now 70 peaches at the stand, how many did he pick ?

Nancy is baking a cake. The recipe calls for 9 cups of flour. She already put in 3 cups. How many more cups does she need to add ?

Fred's high school played 18 football games this year. The team won most of
their games. They were defeated during 2 games. How many games did they win ?


There are 33 rose bushes currently in the park. Park workers will plant more rose bushes today. When the workers are finished there will be 66 rose bushes in the park. How many rose bushes did the workers plant today ?

There were 42 bales of hay in the barn. Fred stacked more bales in the barn today. There are now 65 bales of hay in the barn. How many bales did he store in the barn ?

How many ink cartridges can you buy with 88 dollars if one cartridge costs 11 dollars ?

-If your riddle was not finished in class, please type it out and send it to me
-Make sure you know which FOUR persuasive topics you are most interested in (I will print and post the list in class)


Geography
-Please make sure your "six degrees" notes and your Global Warming Infographic are done (the ones I have received so far are great!)
