-Textbook redesign using the Gr 7/8 History, Geography or Math textbook
1. Describe, in detail, what is depicted (shown) on this
textbook cover.
2. Why do you think this image was chosen to represent
the subject matter inside the text?
3. Do you think this image choice is effective or not? Explain
your thoughts.
4. Spend five minutes looking through the textbook,
focusing on the main headings for each chapter. Based on these headings make a rough sketch of what you think would be
an effective cover for this textbook. Clearly explain why the image you chose
is an effective one for the cover of the textbook.
Math
-Make sure you understand the terms we reviewed in class today: transformations, translations, reflection, rotation, dilation, pre-image, image, prime symbols, cartesian co-ordinate system, ordered pair
-Finish the translation question from class today (if not complete)
-Textbook work - pg. 430 #4, 6-8, 12, 13
Geography
-Make sure Global Warming Infographic, Non-renewable and Renewable energy are all complete
-Our first Geography test will be on Tuesday April 11 (learning goals will be posted on the blog by this Saturday)
